Who We Are

Statement of Values

The Orren & Orren law firm defines itself by the following core values:

  • Excellence and uncompromising integrity in the practice of law;
  • Loyalty and "go-the-extra-mile" energy in the representation of every client;
  • Thoroughness and candor in the giving of legal advice and counsel;
  • A passionate belief in the law as an instrument for the betterment of the world.

Firm Profile

Since opening our office in 2001, Orren & Orren has focused on (1) creative planning for the management and after-death transfer of clients’ estates, as well as for the client’s care in the event of disability, and (2) inventive and winning strategies for clients involved in legal disputes, especially at the appellate level.

Solutions, Resolutions & Results

Orren & Orren has crafted estate and care plans for clients with multi-million dollar estates, clients owning only a small family home and living on public benefits, and clients having every level of net worth in between. For our litigation clients, we have prevailed--and established important legal precedents in the process--in multi-million dollar lawsuits against giant institutions, as well as cases in behalf of indigent parents struggling to preserve their families.

We do not practice cookie-cutter law. While every legal matter—whether a planning matter or a litigation matter—has some routine aspects, every matter also includes circumstances that are wholly unique. We work closely with our clients, and often with a client’s other attorneys and professional advisers, to identify each client’s core needs and objectives, then design and implement the best course of action.

Specialist Expertise

Both of the Orren & Orren partners are certified by the California Board of Legal Specialization as specialists in the areas in which we primarily practice.

  • Lowell H. Orren is a Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law
  • Tyna T. Orren is a Certified Specialist in Appellate Law

While we have the experience and skill to address issues arising outside of our specialist certification, we concentrate our practice in those subject areas and areas closely related to them, making it possible to assure clients that the most up-to-date and complete legal skills are being applied to their projects.
